It's time and tide at Kirra Beach

Council works to narrow the stretch of sand on Kirra Beach will have wide-ranging benefits for beachgoers and Gold Coast City.

The project will mean greater convenience for swimmers, and will produce more parkland for Kirra with a larger grassed area to be enjoyed by a growing number of visitors.

Surfers will also enjoy some improvements from the beach works, and there will be greater protection for the area against storm erosion.
